The second annual meeting of the Japanese-Icelandic Chamber of Commerce

The second annual meeting of the Japanese-Icelandic Chamber of Commerce was held at the Ambassador‘s residence. After Ambassador Kitagawa’s welcoming remarks, the chairman of the chamber – and CEO of Toyota Iceland – Mr. Steindórsson proceeded with the meeting. Mr. Steindórsson discussed expectations of further strengthening the bilateral relationship following important milestones such as the Working Holiday Scheme between Japan and Iceland in September 2018, a double taxation treaty that came into effect in October 2018, and more.

After the meeting, the head coach of the Japanese national handball team Mr. Dagur Sigurðsson made a presentation on his coaching method which takes advantage of various information technologies. At the following reception, opinions were actively exchanged among the members.
