- As the 3rd “Gender Dialogue”, the Ambassador Shino made a lecture with theme of “women in Japan : to make women shine” in the Iceland's Women's Association. About 30 participants including Ms. Ragnheiður Pétursdóttir, (former Speaker of Alþingi) attended the meeting. The meeting was successful with active questions and answers.



May 20th, 2015
- Our Embassy is holding “Gender Dialogue” with Icelandic people. As the 2nd occasion, the Ambassador Shino made a lecture with theme of “women in Japan : to make women shine” in the Association for Women in Law. About 20 participants attended the meeting. The meeting was successful with active questions and answers.


February 18th, 2015
- The Ambassador Shino made a lecture with theme of “women in Japan : to make women shine” in the office of Social Democratic Alliance Party. Participants including Ms. Sigríður Ingadóttir(Member of Althingi) attended to the meeting. The meeting was successful with active questions and answer. It was impressive that majority of the participants were gentlemen.



December 4th, 2014
- The Embassy held a national day reception in the Reykjavic City Hall. The reception was successful with about 150 invited guests including the former President Madam Vigdís Finnbogadóttir and Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture and for the Environment and Natural Resources, Mr. Sigurður Ingi Jóhannsson.





October 4th - 6th, 2014
- Between 4th and 6th October, Japanese singer and songwriter, Mr. Ryoichi Higuchi made three concerts under the name of "Postman Live" at Grensáskirkja and Verzlunarskóli Íslands in Reykjavik and Sólheimar, all of which were highly appreciated by the audience.




September 8th, 2014
- The Embassy held a reception on the premises to introduce newly inaugurated first resident Ambassador Ms. Mitsuko Shino.



September 2nd and 3rd, 2014
- The University of Iceland held seminar on "Integrated Disaster Risk Management", in which Councellor Uchida lectured on "lessons learned from Fukushima".
