Visit of Minister for Foreign Affairs H.E. Mr. Gunnar Bragi Sveinsson to Japan

• Minister for Foreign Affairs H.E. Mr. Gunnar Bragi Sveinsson paid a visit to Japan between 9th and 13th of November, 2014. During the visit, the Minister had bilateral meeting with Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr. Fumio Kishida and exchanged the views with Japan-Iceland Parliamentary Friendship League. The Minister also attended to the Japan-Iceland Innovation and Investment Seminar. In addition, the Minister made visits to the private companies as well as United Nations University and received the interviews from the press. Visit of Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr. Takao Makino to Iceland

• Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr. Takao Makino paid a visit to Iceland between 5th and 8th of July, 2014. During the visit, the Vice-Minister had meetings with Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture and for the Environment and Natural Resources, Mr. Sigurður Ingi Jóhannsson (Acting Foreign Minister) and Vice Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of Althingi, Mr. Ásmundur Einar Daðason and others. The Vice-Minister also paid a courtesy call to the President, H.E. Mr. Olafur Ragnar Grimsson. In addition, the Vice-Minister made a visit to the whale station in Hvalfjörður.
