Meeting with the National Commissioner of the Icelandic Police

On June 4, Ambassador Takewaka met with Ms. Halla Bergþóra Björnsdóttir, the National Commissioner of the Icelandic Police. They welcomed the increase of tourism in both directions between Japan and Iceland. Given the steady rise in the number of Japanese visitors to Iceland, Ambassador Takewaka requested measures to ensure the safety of Japanese nationals in Iceland.
