Film Screening: “Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem” at the Reykjavik International Film Festival (RIFF) on Thursday Oct 3rd

On Thursday, October 3rd, the Embassy, together with the Reykjavik International Film Festival, co-hosted a screening of “Interstellar 5555: The 5Tory of the 5ecret 5TAR 5YSTEM”. The festival is held every year with the support of the Ministry of Education, Reykjavik City, and various embassies. In his opening remarks, Ambassador Suzuki introduced the legendary Japanese animator Leiji Matsumoto, who was deeply involved in the production of this film, and some of his major works, expressing his hope that the screening would convey the fascination and potential of anime to a wide audience. After the screening, there was a Q&A session with Cédric Hervet, the film's co-producer.
