From Ambassador (Greetings from Ambassador)

Dandelions
Actually I already landed in Reykjavík on June 10 but today is my first day at the Japanese embassy in Iceland as well as the Ambassador‘s office. I took a PCR test upon arrival, and then underwent quarantine for the following 5 days in accordance with the regulation. While in isolation, I spent the time by reading various books including crime novels by Arnaldur Indriðason.
According to Japanese news on podcast, the rainy season has started in most of Japan, and that means the beginning of the hydrangea season.
On the other hand, I see dandelions in my garden here and enjoy a different seasonal scenery from Japan. I heard roses will start blooming soon, and perhaps cherry blossoms, too? Since cherry blossoms in Japan have already been replaced with fresh green leaves, I wish to see them again in full bloom.
