Foreign Minister’s Commendation Conferment Ceremony for Dr. Kristín Ingvarsdóttir

On November 17, Ambassador Suzuki hosted a conferment ceremony and reception at his residence to present the Foreign Minister’s Commendation to Dr. Kristín Ingvarsdóttir, Assistant Professor of Japanese Language and Culture at the University of Iceland.
Dr. Ingvarsdóttir has been involved in activities to strengthen ties between Iceland and Japan since her studies in Japan, and has been engaged in Japan research for over 20 years.
In his congratulatory address, Ambassador Suzuki spoke of Dr. Ingvarsdóttir’ s endless curiosity about Japan and diverse activities in connection with it, and expressed his hope for her continued success.
Former President H.E.Madame Vigdis Finnbogadóttir, former Ambassador to Japan H.E.Ms. Elín Flygenring, and Rector of University of Iceland, Dr. Jón Atli Benediktsson attended the ceremony.
