Ceremony to confer the Medal of Honor on Ambassador Suzuki

On November 21, Foreign Minister Þórdís Kolbrún R. Gylfadóttir bestowed the Medal of Honor of the Icelandic Foreign Service, second class to Ambassador Suzuki, in recognition of his contribution to the promotion of bilateral relations through his activities as Ambassador of Japan to Iceland.
This commendation by the Icelandic Ministry for Foreign Affairs began in July this year, and this is the first time that foreign diplomats have been awarded the honor.
