Meeting with Mayor of Reykjavik

On June 13, Ambassador Takewaka met with Mayor Heiða Björg Hilmisdóttir of Reykjavik. On the occasion of President’s visit to Japan for Osaka-Kansai EXPO, the Mayor visited Japan and came to Tama City on May 28 to sign Memorandum of Understanding on Building Friendships between Tama City and Reykjavik City. Ambassador Takewaka expressed that the Embassy also wishes to support exchanges between Reykjavik City and Tama City.
